Anguilla Drone Training Final Report (March 2026)
The Government of Anguilla launched a multi-agency drone training programme to build national capacity for disaster management, mapping, and infrastructure monitoring. Ten participants completed blended online and field-based training, becoming certified commercial drone pilots equipped to support coordinated government drone operations.
The Government of Anguilla implemented a multi-agency Small Uncrewed Aerial Systems (sUAS) Training Programme to strengthen national capacity for the safe and effective use of drone technology across government. Recognizing the growing role of drones in disaster management, environmental monitoring, infrastructure inspection, and national planning, the programme was designed to establish a skilled government drone team capable of supporting a wide range of operational and emergency response activities.
The programme combined online learning with intensive in-country practical training, providing participants with professional drone pilot certification, standardized operational procedures, mission planning and safety protocols, mapping and monitoring techniques, and applied geospatial workflows. An online Learning Management System (LMS) supported instruction through course materials, assessments, coaching sessions, and ongoing technical support.
