Shelter Types Explained
Hurricane Shelters
Designed to withstand Category 1–3 hurricane conditions. These are reinforced structures with backup power and supplies for extended stays.

Located at elevated inland positions. If a tsunami warning is issued, move to higher ground immediately — do not wait for official shelter activation.

Multi-hazard shelters activated for various emergency events including fires, flooding, and other declared disasters.
